While these are not goggles, they are expensive VR concave mirrors and beamsplitters used in flight trainer simulators.
A few days ago, ebay listed 12 of these for sale. There were some I used in Colorado Springs years ago. A flight sim person explained how this system worked and why it gave the infinity focus and seemed to cause motion in the brain.
The old game in them is pre 2003 and directx 7 or something like that.
The optics are still available at Flight Safety international, one site claimed around $5,500 each. This is vey different than just a big screen projection.
I would like to get a couple of these and work with a group of others to put some modern software inside. Basically re-do the cockpit and use the optics. They use a 20" monitor (on top facing down) that could be updated to 1080i or 4K.
Just wondering if anyone else has ideas.
