Room Scale Oculus touch

I'm making the switch from vive to Oculus for a number of reasons such as improved performance, more comfort, more games.

However I'd like to keep the vive style room scale once touch is out. Does anyone have advice on how to extend the Oculus cable to support a full room say 2.5x2.5m?

I've read many hdmi cables don't work as extensions...

Welcome aboard ! Why am i hearing people say this exact thing more and more these days ? Switching/Moving from Vive to Rift ? Well honestly i cant blame them.

Just be aware that the Rift is REALLY finicky when it comes to HDMI cables. I bought one of the ones that was supposed to work fine and it didn't. Instead I tried a cheapo cable and a cheapo auto switch box to extend my Rift's HDMI cable instead, thinking it wouldn't work but tried it anyway. It works fine lol. The auto switch box and 1.5m cable cost me 99p each from eBay years ago lmfao

A note for you Joe, I went hopeful and ordered the 4m version of this cable. Unfortunately it didn't work.

I think I'll get the 2m instead, as a lot of Amazon reviews say that length works fine, one or two saying the 3m doesn't work either.

Got the 2m, works perfectly with a 2m USB extension too, perfect size for my room. Just gotta wait for touch now!
