I'm just finishing up sourcing parts for the kits. I still need to find a supplier of black screws, I think they would look much better, and an adhesive pad.
I do have a couple of finished parts though and have the silver screws in if your not bothered about black ones. Ill let them go for £6.99 each.
Parts are manufactured using 3D printing technology, and as with all 3D printing technology, there are visible layers on the final parts. These layers are about the size of a human hair or 0.1mm. They are visible to the eye from about 6 inches but any further it's hard to tell. Parts have the same sort of matt/satin sheen the oculus sensor have, so blend in well.
They are made from a PLA-Copolymer. Basically, it's a really strong plastic that almost as strong as an injection molded ABS part. Though I wouldn't try, you could probably hang off one these things.
